|The Snohomish County Children's Choir was founded in 1999 by Shelley Logan. The choir was
established to supplement public, private, home, school, and church music programs by providing
a challenging setting for outstanding young singers. Boys and girls from all over the Snohomish
County come together with the express purpose of learning and performing a wide range of
musical styles. The choir is divided into the Angelissimo Choir for pre-school through grade 3,
Intermezzo for grades 4 - 7, Ragazzo Coro for young men with changed voices in grades 8 - 12, and the Bella Voce Choir for grades 9 - 12.
Since 1999, the choirs of SCCC have traveled to and performed in most major cities in the United
States. The choirs have won gold medals in the Heritage Festivals held in San Francisco, San
Diego, Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York, and Chicago. In the summer of 2009, the
Intermezzo and Bella Voce choirs ventured internationally by touring in England for 10 days. May
2010 took us to the Vancouver, BC Heritage festival where the Bella Voce Choir took Gold and
Intermezzo silver awards.
The choir produced its first CD in the 2004-2005 season. In 2008, SCCC joined forces with Dr.
Sanford Wright, producer of “ The Christmas Spectacular benefit concert for the Volunteers
of America and the Everett Food Bank. He produced our second CD that year and proceeds
benefited our community. This year marks the 10th Anniversary of The Christmas Spectacular
and we are proud to have all three of our choirs perform at the show.
SCCC has also been honored to perform in concert with the Everett Chorale for an annual
holiday concert and as special guests at its 40th Anniversary Concert. Our choirs are in demand
annually for numerous community functions and for organizations like the Snohomish Chamber
of Commerce, the Everett Symphony, Seattle Symphony Tiny Tots Series, Leavenworth
Maifest and Tree Lighting Festivities, the Everett Christmas Ships, the annual Providence
Hospital Festival of Trees at Comcast Arena, the Rainier Club of Seattle, and more.
In August 2010, we proudly partnered with the Everett Symphony in establishing Everett Music Hall —
Everett’ s new Community Performing Arts Theater in the Everett Mall. This facility serves as the
new home for SCCC and its rehearsal and performance venue for our choirs.

"The Snohomish County Children's Choir was an excellent addition to our Discover Music! Pre-concert activities Benaroya Hall. The singers were well rehearsed, enthusiastic and in tune. The arriving audience members very much enjoyed hearing the wonderful selection of songs, and I heard many favorable comments from staff and audience alike about this choir. I would have no hesitation about asking the Snohomish County Children's Choir perform here again in the future. Bravo!"
- Meighan Pritchard, Seattle Symphony Education Director
"I wanted to thank you and the Snohomish County Children's Choir for playing such an important part for Festival of Trees. As you know the room was overflowing with beautifully decorated trees and 265 seniors. And I think every one of them enjoyed the performance. The groups performance was spectacular and I was so impressed with their professional polish. It was truly a pleasure to work with you and I wish you and the Snohomish County Children's Choir all the best for the future."
- Jamie Jewell, Providence General Foundation
"The Snohomish County Children's Choir shines! The Choir has performed at the Snohomish "Home for the Holidays" tree lighting ceremony and the annual "Festival of Pumpkins". The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce has been proud and honored to have the Snohomish County Children's Choir volunteer to entertain our visitors. We are extremely grateful that during the "Festival of Pumpkins", the group sponsored and coordinated two weekend pumpkin painting children's activities. These beautiful voices will again be featured at our November 29, 2002 "Home for the Holidays" celebration. We thank Shelly Logan, Director of the choir, for her dedication to this group and for allowing us to share such talent with the community of Snohomish."

"Dear Snohomish County Children's Choir: We'd like to thank you for an incredible experience the past three years. Our daughter has been inspired and uplifted with the high quality singing program that Director Shelly Logan has created and it has brought music and art into our family on a daily basis. Our family's participation in activities is gauged upon the value that it brings into our household, and concerts that embody classical, historical, contemporary and jazz music have been a delight to attend. Experiences such as singing in the International Choir Festival with adult musicians from around the world have been truly inspirational. Mrs. Logan shows the choir members that when you have a talent and gift in art, it is meant to be shared. She has conveyed her deep civic commitment to the choir members through singing at nursing homes, participation in community events, and the support of the arts in Snohomish County. The Snohomish County Children's Choir has been a very rewarding experience for our daughter and our entire family. The choir has brought incredible music into our lives and has become an extended family of responsible and caring young ladies who share their talent with so many."
