The Snohomish County Children's Choir was founded in 1999 by Shelley Logan. The choir was established to supplement public, private, home, school, and church music programs by providing a challenging setting for outstanding young singers. Boys and girls from all over the Snohomish County come together with the express purpose of learning and performing a wide range of musical styles. The choir is divided into the Angelissimo Choir for age 5 through grade 2, Intermezzo for grades 3 – 6, and Bella Coro (boys and girls) for Grades 7 through age 20 college students.
Since 1999, the choirs of SCCC have traveled to and performed in most major cities in the United States. The choirs have won gold medals in the Heritage Festivals held in San Francisco, San Diego, Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York, and Chicago. In the summer of 2009, the Intermezzo and Bella Voce choirs ventured internationally by touring in England for 10 days. May 2010 took us to the Vancouver, BC Heritage festival where the Bella Voce Choir took Gold and Intermezzo silver awards.
The choir produced its first CD in the 2004-2005 season. In 2008, SCCC joined forces with Dr. Sanford Wright, producer of The Christmas Spectacular benefit concert for the Volunteers of America and the Everett Food Bank. He produced our second CD that year and proceeds benefited our community. This year marks the 10th Anniversary of The Christmas Spectacular and we are proud to have all three of our choirs perform at the show.
SCCC has also been honored to perform in concert with the Everett Chorale for an annual holiday concert and as special guests at its 40th Anniversary Concert. We will be a featured guest during Everett Chorale’s 50 Year Celebration next season. Our choirs are in demand annually for numerous community functions and for organizations in Snohomish County, Leavenworth Maifest and Tree Lighting Festivities, the Everett Christmas Ships, the annual Providence Hospital Festival of Trees at Comcast Arena, the Rainier Club of Seattle, and more.
In 2010 the old movie theaters in the Everett Mall were converted into the new Community Performing Arts Center. This Music Hall, newly renamed Northwest Music Hall, serves as the home for the Everett Symphony, SCCC and its rehearsal and performance venue for our choirs. Under the management of Snohomish County Music Project, the venue promotes Performing Arts in the county and facilitates many concerts, recitals, plays and gatherings within the artistic community in Snohomish County.
The Snohomish County Children's Choir Program is proud to be affiliated with Snohomish County Music Project and The Everett Chorale Association. We have officially been “adopted” by the Everett Chorale, and are excited to be an arm of this wonderful Association.

"The Snohomish County Children's Choir was an excellent addition to our Discover Music! Pre-concert activities Benaroya Hall. The singers were well rehearsed, enthusiastic and in tune. The arriving audience members very much enjoyed hearing the wonderful selection of songs, and I heard many favorable comments from staff and audience alike about this choir. I would have no hesitation about asking the Snohomish County Children's Choir perform here again in the future. Bravo!"
"I wanted to thank you and the Snohomish County Children's Choir for playing such an important part for Festival of Trees. As you know the room was overflowing with beautifully decorated trees and 265 seniors. And I think every one of them enjoyed the performance. The groups performance was spectacular and I was so impressed with their professional polish. It was truly a pleasure to work with you and I wish you and the Snohomish County Children's Choir all the best for the future."
"The Snohomish County Children's Choir shines! The Choir has performed at the Snohomish "Home for the Holidays" tree lighting ceremony and the annual "Festival of Pumpkins". The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce has been proud and honored to have the Snohomish County Children's Choir volunteer to entertain our visitors. We are extremely grateful that during the "Festival of Pumpkins", the group sponsored and coordinated two weekend pumpkin painting children's activities. These beautiful voices will again be featured at our November 29, 2002 "Home for the Holidays" celebration. We thank Shelly Logan, Director of the choir, for her dedication to this group and for allowing us to share such talent with the community of Snohomish."
